Would like to rent a car at Thira Airport and return to same location. Is it okay to ferry the vehicle to other islands?

To view the CROSS BORDER or FERRY terms and conditions. At STEP2 of our 3 step online booking process, alongside the car photo of your choice, there is a link entitled “IMPORTANT INFORMATION”. Clicking on this link will open an additional smaller window, with the terms and conditions appertaining to that particular car/supplier. Choose then the CAR tab and look under TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS Try a few different suppliers as each supplier/vehicle type may have a different cross border rule.

Travel Restrictions TRAVEL OUTSIDE GREECE is not allowed. A penalty fee with a minimum amount of 20.000 euros plus VAT plus airport fees will be charged to those travelling without permission Travelling with the Ferry - Allowed only with a written authorization from Europcar Greece at the time of pick up. Total cost is 25 EURO per direction plus VAT plus airport fees. This product is not valid for cross border rentals. If the return location is different than the pick up location, the one way charges will apply on top of the Transportation via FERRY costs. The vehicle without the written authorization of Europcar is not covered for any damages or loss during the time that remains on a ship. Written authorization is added to the rental agreement at the time of pick up and after the payment fee. For more information and permission please contact the rental desk directly.
